Lil Wayne Drops New Line of Premium Cannabis

[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]A[/dropcap]nnounced on Dec. 2, Lil Wayne will release GKUA Ultra Premium, his own line of cannabis products with an emphasis on purity. The rapper, also known as Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., became one of the most popular solo artists throughout his career, even surpassing Elvis Presley in terms of Billboard Hot 100 entries.

While Wayne suffers from epilepsy, it’s unclear if he uses cannabis for medical purposes, as he typically raps about using cannabis recreationally. Wayne’s entry into the commercial cannabis comes as no surprise to any fan, given that the rapper records the sound of taking a hit of cannabis at the beginning of many of his songs. “I used to just want to get high, now I smoke to get inspired,” said Lil Wayne. “With GKUA, I’m sharing a feeling that I love.”

The GKUA Ultra Premium line will launch with four flagship products including flower, vape pens and concentrate, which will first be available in Southern California, with plans to expand to other markets.

Wayne’s frequent collaborator and former protégé Drake also announced his partnership with Canopy Growth last month. As for Wayne’s new line, four products will be releases in 2020 at fine dispensaries in Los Angeles, California: 

GKUA Ultra Premium Flower: GKUA will produce limited cannabis strains that incredibly potent and difficult to find. Available at launch is HOLLYGROVE, a unique strain for Lil Wayne and GKUA, and UPROAR, a very limited strain.

GKUA Ultra Premium Battery Technology: A ceramic heating element and cutting-edge design is optimized to efficiently deliver vapor in easily controllable doses with updated battery technology.

GKUA THC Vape: GKUA’s THC Vape is an exclusive formulation that utilizes high quality cannabis into potent THC vape oil, which is independently lab tested and certified for purity.

GKUA Ultra Premium Concentrates: GKUA Ultra Premium Concentrates are sourced from the fine cannabis flower with potent THC levels created for dabbing or adding to flower.
