[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]H[/dropcap]ow many of you remember Tang, the weird orange-colored and flavored powdered drink? Most remember it when it was all the rage back in the late 1990s. The commercials, which were mainly featured on kids television channels, featured crazy chimpanzees performing karate. This “kick in a glass” has actually been around for longer than the weird decade that was the ’90s. More importantly though, strains named after Tang are sure to give you so much energy you’ll be punching like a chimpanzee in no time.

White Tang Haze came to CULTURE as a Denver, Colorado-based strain, and the first thing reviewers noted was its appearance. Much like the aforementioned citrus tang drink, this strain is just covered in orange pistils amidst the leafy green colors of its exterior. The smell brings you even closer with curiosity, offering the surprising scents of fruit and butter, with a hint of Middle Eastern spice.

White Tang Haze stems from the Haze grow line that is famous for its intense sativa properties. Although there were no concrete details of the lineage of this particular strain, it is likely that there are relations to Tangerine Haze and White Tang. Tangerine Haze contains the hallmark citrus scent while providing consumers with long-lasting hybrid effects, whereas White Tang is a skunky smelling but smooth experience.

If Jimi Hendrix were still gracing the world with his presence, we’re pretty sure he would be a huge fan of the strain. It’s best suited for an active night out, such as a rock concert or EDM show. Once the sativa effects begin to take hold, you’ll find yourself unable to stop moving to the beat. This is one of those strains that you want to flow with and not against. Embrace that pulsating energy and enjoy the long, exciting ride—but be careful of any anxiety that might arise as a result.
