[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]L[/dropcap]ucky Charms is by no means an unfamiliar brand. Owned by the General Mills food company, Lucky Charms has been a staple in breakfast cereals since 1964. Along with this comes the decades-old mascot, Lucky the Leprechaun, and a sweet cereal featuring marshmallow bits, aka “marbits.” Countless kids have grown up looking at the imagery of this cereal brand and enjoying marbits in the shape of rainbows, horseshoes, moons, hearts and so much more. With a slightly indirect tie-in to St. Patrick’s Day, which falls on Tuesday, March 17 this year, we’re taking a look at a strain called Lucky Charms that is also magically delicious.

When one thinks of Ireland, it usually conjures up images of rolling hills and lush, green landscapes. However, looking at a strain sample of Lucky Charms provides quite a different feeling. The bud is actually covered in vibrant orange and red pistils, with about 90 percent of coverage compared to the green hairs that lie beneath. Although CULTURE reviewers were not provided with information regarding the parents of this lovely looking strain, however other sources claim that two hybrid strains, The White and Appalachia, are to thank. Both are likely leaning in on the dominant side of their properties, offering a relaxed and uplifting experience.

Lucky Charms is reported to have a scent of candy, but not overpowering in the way that perfume might be. There’s a hint of citrus and earthiness underneath that sweet smell that really brings out the pleasantness of the terpene profile. The flavor is similar, with sweet berries and crisp citrus relaxing the senses.

Lucky Charms offers a few unique properties, similar to its reported parent strains. Patients have felt euphorically happy and physically relaxed after trying this strain out. It’s a well-balanced strain that is considered to be ideal for patients with a variety of medical conditions. Ultimately, when you think of that feeling when you dive into a bowl of nostalgia-filled Lucky Charms, that’s what you’re feeling with a strain like Lucky Charms.
