75 years after Walt Disney mixed classical music and its then-groundbreaking animation, the Hollywood Bowl presents a performance showcasing the beauty and imagination of Fantasia. Conductor John Mauceri leads the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in a series of selections from the Disney (and psychedelia-imbued) favorite. Since the event coincides with the orchestra’s 20th anniversary, expect a climactic, no-notes barred performance. The show will include favorite clips from the movie on the Bowl’s big screen as well unfinished segments and more famous artwork. Fireworks at the end will wrap it all up. (Janet Martin)
