Strain of the Week: The Hulk

Good weather, time to relax and probably completing mundane chores such as mowing the lawn. For fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe though, things are getting intense. The final Avengers film, entitled The Avengers: Endgame will be reaching completion on April 26. The culmination of over a decade of superhero films has led to this moment, and the film (which will be exactly 3 hours and 58 seconds long by the way) is going to be breaking a lot of gross sales records. Many cannabis strains are named after notable heroes and villains, but one of the most revered (and one of the older superhero movies) is The Hulk, or Bruce Banner.

Well-known for the character’s duality between his stronger, hulked out self and his true identity, this strain is equally powerful and useful at the same time. Reviewers recall this strain being born from a rare Bruce Banner phenotype, which was lab tested at about 27.74 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Others believe that it was created by a cross between strains such as Sour Diesel, Strawberry Cough or OG Kush.
