On his second release, Martín Selasco, better known as Terror/Cactus, continues to experiment with old South American rhythms and sounds making them sounds grander and more psychedelic than ever before. Impulsos sees Selasco picking up pretty much right where he left off with 2017’s Cerro Invisible, taking the beat and style of traditional cumbia and blasting off into outer space with it. Utilizing mind expanding synth textures and dub delay and echo effects alongside clean guitar lines and hypnotic percussion, Selasco creates a sound that should captivate Latin music fanatics and psychedelia explorers alike.
