For indie rock fans out there, as well as those interested in incredibly well produced, textural music, Deep Sea Diver’s sophomore release, Secrets, is a record to be aware of. One need only listen to the opening track, “Notice Me,” to hear just how expansive the band’s sound has become. The song is an absolute tour de force of guitar tone and style, showing off how lead singer Jessica Dobson’s playing can be light on its feet and bouncy at times, and then absolutely roar and scorch at others. With Secrets, Deep Sea Diver shows it has fully realized its sound and is absolutely running with it.
