Folk rock singer and composer Samuel Beam, a.k.a. Iron and Wine, is keeping busy, as he recently released the single “Walking Far From Home” and is currently on a U.S. and U.K. tour featuring several other celebrated folk musicians and bands including Laura Marling, Edie Brickell and The Low Anthem. Beam’s music has been praised over the years for its raw and Southern feel; he’s been compared to the likes of Elliott Smith and Simon & Garfunkel. Beam and his glorious beard can be seen performing in L.A. at the end of this month, a show coinciding with the release of his new album, Kiss Each Other Clean. (Tessa Page)
