Kreayshawn blasts Rick Ross—but everything’s cool now

The hip-hop community is ripe with controversy from feuds between long-time enemies like Game and 50 Cent to the infamous Jay-Z/Nas rivalry. Whoever it is, wherever it happens, it’s something that rappers and fans alike have come to terms with. So, it was no surprise when Kreayshawn stepped on the scene earlier this year and called out Rick Ross for being “fake” that a whole new feud would form.

It all started this past summer when Kreayshawn, in a freestyle rap, dissed Ross: “’m about to grab a knife, you tryin‘ to play me like a boss/But you faker than Rick Ross.” And followed it up with a Ustream video featuring her and V-Nasty rapping, “I really wanted to say, wait no/What I really wanted to say is Rick Ross ‘is’ fake/I bet you five dollars Rick Ross can’t find his dick/Like he gave up [looking].”

By chance, the two met face to face backstage at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, and Kreayshawn ended up leaving the scene.

In the October issue of XXL magazine Ross’ official statement was, “I can’t wait to slap the sh*t out of whoever carries her bags and I hope it’s her n***a. Dirty bitch. You better know the f**k you talking about. I’ll pay 50K to mess up your whole week.”

In September, Kreayshawn squashed all notions that there was still any beef between the two. In an interview with UK’s UrbanWorld TV she says, “No, I bought DJ Khaled [record executive and producer of Rick Ross’ Trilla and Port of Miami albums, among other releases] a couple steaks and we worked everything out. As far as that, nothing’s popping off. It’s just a little rough patch at the VMAs, but we got all over it. It’s all over now.”

And while media attention still is aimed at the what-should-be-forgotten feud, we’re all glad Rozay can spend his 50K on something more worthwhile. (Lynn Lieu)
