The counterculture of the 1960s—flower wielding, peace loving, long-haired renegades—comes to the 21st century in this annual event in all its tie-dyed glory. With musical artists like Dave Mason (who has worked with artists like Jimi Hendrix and George Harrison), Mark Farner, Rick Derringer, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals and Gary Wright, it’s a revival of what made flower power so influential: the music (OK, the drugs may have played a part as well). While some may question whether the youth of today (you know who you are!) lacks revolutionary interests, the hippie generation is still hitting the stage, doing what they do best and spreading the love one daisy at a time.
