Thomas Wesley Pentz is a man of many trades. He’s best known for his solo DJ act as Diplo, but he started his music career with DJ Low Budget and little club and music collective called Hollertronix. M.I.A. approached him in 2004 and a collaboration effort produced Piracy Funds Terrorism Vol. 1. Diplo is also half of the producer/DJ project Major Lazer, known for its dancehall thumps and Jamaican influences. On top of all that, the guy also has his own record company, Mad Decent, producing the likes of Shakira, Robyn, Kid Cudi, Bruno Mars and Snoop Dogg, as well as work with Maluca, Kid Sister and Die Antwoord. This dude’s resume literally reads “Mad Decent.”
