How and when did your store start up?

We come from medical and opened 365 Recreational Cannabis on June 12, 2015, and have continued to enjoy every minute of watching our store and the industry grow. This month is our four-year anniversary!

 

What’s the story behind the name of your store?

We got our name 365 Recreational Cannabis from our commitment to serve the community quality products and service 365 days a year!

 

What does your store offer customers that they can’t find anywhere else?

365 Recreational provides excellent service every day of the year. Half the staff started in medical, so we try to make sure that you are finding what you really need. If we don’t carry something, then we try to get that product in for you.

 

How has the cannabis industry changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?

There have been a lot of changes to the industry over the years. The prices have gone down, and the consumer base has become more knowledgeable. Instead of asking for the highest [amount of] THC, customers are realizing that different terpene profiles can make for a better experience. We would love to see the consumer base continuing to educate themselves and wanting transparency. It would be nice to see the demand for harvest dates and pesticides used from all companies.

 

What are the biggest challenges you face in this industry as a store? . . .  Biggest joys?

Some of the biggest challenges one faces in this industry is setting yourself apart. If everyone can sell the same thing, you must go the extra step to make sure the customers are always happy.

Some of the biggest joys are seeing the improvements in people when they find something that works for them. It’s amazing to see people walking again that haven’t been doing so for years or hearing the news that someone is in remission.

 

What is the one thing you want patients/customers to know about your store?

We always try to be educated on all products and provide an experience that is the best for you. If you have a lot of questions, we have people on staff that have been through courses and are armed with knowledge. If you would like a quick visit, we have an online ordering service that will have your products bagged and waiting for you to checkout.

 

If someone wanted to open a store and get their feet wet in the industry, what advice or counsel would you give them?

If someone was opening a shop, I would advise them to always pay close attention to detail and stay up to date on all compliance measures. There are little tweaks and changes all the time, so knowing them and being on top of them will help you stay around.

 

What do you hope to accomplish in the cannabis industry?

We would love to be known as an honest, reliable company that remains part of the cannabis industry.
