How and when did your collective start up?

Our collective began two-and-a-half years ago after the owners saw a glaring gap in the medical market with regard to cannabis knowledge, level of professionalism and quality of medicinal cannabis products and services. They felt that patients deserved a welcoming place, ran by knowledgeable and professional staff that could provide factual and relevant cannabis advice to experienced and inexperienced MMMP cardholders alike.

What’s the story behind the name of your collective?

Ann Arbor is known as the Tree City—we saw a pun in that so we ran with it!

What does your collective offer patients that they can’t find anywhere else? 

TreeCity Health Collective is regarded by many as having not only the highest quality cannabis products and services but for also having the most compassionate first time patient deal. For the past two-and-a-half years we have matched every patient up to $60 on their first visit. The most common way patients typically use their first time deal is to donate for one top shelf 1/8th and receive a second top shelf for free! Patients can also use this deal for edibles concentrates and accessories, but it is only good for your first visit!

What are the biggest challenges you face in this industry as a collective? . . .  Biggest joys?

The most formidable challenge we face as a collective predominantly revolves around federal law—it’s the trickledown effect. It is hard to scale as a business in this industry when the product that we promote is federally illicit. This makes professional relationships hard to manage as well as makes typical financial management practices extremely cumbersome if not impossible.

We love making patients happy. We love hearing their testimonials about our tremendously compassionate staff, clean and welcoming facility and our OUTSTANDING cannabis. We are told on a daily bases that we are much different from the other collectives in the area, most patients do not know that a place like TreeCity exists and when they finally find us they tend to never go anywhere else again.

What is the one thing you want patients to know about your collective?

TreeCity Health Collective is establishing a higher standard in medical cannabis. Our difference is rooted in our knowledge of the cannabis plant and its medical benefits.
