New “Leafs by Snoop” Strains to be Released in Canada

The cannabis industry is no longer compiled of small businesses. Not only have companies begun to expand exponentially, but a few notable celebrities are bringing even more attention to the interest and success of the industry as a whole. Melissa Etheridge, Tommy Chong and Whoopi Goldberg have invested in unique cannabis products. Snoop Dogg, of course, is one of the most famous celebrities to break into the business, and a recent announcement has revealed that he’s expanding his “Leafs by Snoop” brand.

Snoop Dogg announced that he will be launching “Leafs By Snoop,” his cannabis brand that officially became available last November, in Canada. Snoop partnered with Tweed experts to create some new strains that could benefit local medical cannabis patients. The Canadian line will be available in three varieties: Sunset, Ocean View and Palm Tree CBD.

“Like hip-hop, cannabis is as much a lifestyle as it is a culture. Leafs by Snoop is an expression of my experience with that culture over decades on the scene.” Snoop stated in a Tweed announcement. “What started for me in the ’90s in Cali now has a home in places like Colorado, where real progress is being made. Now that Leafs by Snoop is coming to Tweed, I’ll be able to share my passion for the best cannabis on the planet with Canada.”

Tweed President Mark Zekulin is excited and proud to be working with Snoop. “At this stage in his career, Snoop Dogg is much more than an artist, entertainer and entrepreneur,” Zekulin states. “He’s also one of the most trusted voices in cannabis the world over. With this partnership we’re welcoming a pop and cannabis culture icon into the Canadian industry, and onto the Tweed team.”

Tweed is also celebrating the new product launch by throwing a party for Snoop’s birthday in Toronto, Ontario on October 27.
