[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]F[/dropcap]ormer Grateful Dead drummer and Dead & Company member Mickey Hart announced his own line of cannabis according to a May 21 press release. The three-time Grammy Award winner partnered with Left Coast Ventures™ to launch Mind Your Head.

Mind Your Head’s first product offering is Magic Minis, pre-rolled whole-flower joints packaged in a tin that is labeled with Hart’s artwork. The tins are collectible and can be used afterwards as a stash tin.

Cannabis, of course, has played an important role in Hart’s life, beginning as a member of Grateful Dead. “Cannabis is about opening the mind by inspiring intellectual curiosity and breaking free from ordinary thinking,” Hart said. “Throughout my life, cannabis has played an important role in inspiring creativity and I hope that Mind Your Head cannabis activates others to find their own dimension of creativity. It’s about transporting your mind, connecting with the rhythm of your body and getting into the zone.”

If anyone knows the difference between good cannabis and poor cannabis—it’s Hart. Mind Your Head Magic Minis are filled with Chemdog, a notoriously legendary strain discovered at a Grateful Dead show on Shakedown Street in 1991 by a fan simply known as “Chemdog.” “As a loyal Deadhead, I’m proud to see Chemdog featured in the first product from Mickey Hart,” stated Chemdog. “It plays an important role in Grateful Dead history and I think it’s exciting that Mickey is bringing it full circle to fans and cannabis enthusiasts in Mind Your Head.”

Santa Rosa, California-based Left Coast Ventures has partnered up with several other recognizable cannabis brands including Marley Natural™ and Dutchy. Mind Your Head tins are available in the following California dispensaries:

Urban Pharm, San Francisco

Sparc, San Francisco

Berkeley Patients Group, Berkeley

Hi-Fidelity, Berkeley

Airfield Supply Co., San Jose

Mercy Wellness, Cotati

Dead & Company, which is made up of former Grateful Dead members, launches its summer tour on May 31st at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
