Dabbing
enthusiasts gathered mid-July to enjoy some of the finest waxes and shatters
available. The 710 Cup was held July 10-July 13 in Denver. As the city has been
cracking down on cannabis industry events, the 710 Cup was a private event held
in multiple venues spread out across Denver. Hash extraction technicians from
across the state brought out their top waxes and shatters to participate in the
event. There were several categories to enter, including: Sativa wax, sativa
shatter, indica wax, CBD, solventless, taste, consistency, aroma, effect and
the overall champion. Over the course of the weekend, guests and judges tested
the vast array of waxes and declared their champions.

A large collection
of waxes and shatters, produced in a variety of different manners, were
available for tasting. A Pre-Jilly sativa shatter took both the sativa shatter
first place award, as well as the overall champion award, while Advanced
Medical Alternatives won both the sativa wax and indica wax categories.
However, the show wasn’t all about the wax. Multiple vendors were present to
show off their newest versions of dab rigs, electronic heating units and many more.
The best part of the event was seeing the many innovative products that are quickly
populating the market.

In an effort to
keep with the culture of healthy living that has been adopted by most of the
cannabis community, the 710 Cup featured several healthy hemp product vendors
and hemp sustainability booths. As businesses start to explore the wonders of
hemp, there is an astounding variety of products being produced, such as hemp
lighter casings that conserve fuel and stop patients from inhaling butane and new
CBD potent hemp lotions and sprays for pain relief. Electronic nails for
dabbing rigs made an especially prominent appearance at the event. Many of
these nails can now work on fully encasing the nail to increase efficiency and
retain potency. There were also dozens of vaporizers and new atomizers
specifically focused on ensuring that a patient is only vaporizing wax, not toxic
metals from coils.

After only six
months into recreational cannabis in the state of Colorado, businesses are
taking off everywhere and finding their niches. These companies are all
building off of each other to create a widespread industry. Many of the vendors
set up were from out of state as new businesses trying to get in on the
burgeoning cannabis industry. From unique dabbing products and vaporizers to sustainable
hemp products, the 710 Cup was just a highlight of what this growing industry
is going to offer in the near future.
