Wiz Khalifa Releases Cannabis-Themed Mobile Game

It’s no secret that Wiz Khalifa adores cannabis. The chart-topping hip-hop heavyweight has released his own strain Khalifa Kush as well as Khalifa Kush Shatter. This year, Wiz Khalifa is releasing a new mobile game on April 20 on Google Play and the Apple App Store called Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm. The rapper says the game is “better than Pokémon.”

Users attempt to build their own cannabis empire and face hurdles that are based on real life obstacles that business owners face. The game is being released by Warner Music Artist Services and is being developed in partnership with Metamoki, a boutique game studio. Metamoki is a pioneer in the free-to-play gaming world.

The game’s developers say that Wiz Khalifa’s Weed Farm is partly educational. “The game strives to create an authentic experience, capturing the state of the marijuana industry by seizing opportunities in entrepreneurial fashion, reinvesting into business, and compounding returns,” the press release reads. “In subsequent releases, the player will be able to expand their operations across the U.S. and eventually the entire world as weed is legalized within the game.”

Khalifa posted a photo of himself playing the mobile game on his Instagram page and received over 50,000 likes on the post.

Wiz Khalifa is also launching a contest when you sign up for a sneak peek at the game. The grand prize winner gets to meet Wiz Khalifa in person in Colorado plus an exclusive tour of the Colorado-based Khalifa Kush dispensary on April 23. It’s just one of the stops on the rapper’s “Wellness Retreat Tour” which also features Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Method Man & Redman, Berner and more. First, second, third and fourth prizes will also be awarded. Wiz Khalifa’s game will no doubt provide a great new way to pass the time on 420.
