[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]A[/dropcap]merican diva, songwriter, actress and seven-time Grammy Award-winner Toni Braxton is officially endorsing Uncle Bud’s hemp-infused product line as a brand ambassador, according to a recent press release.

Each Uncle Bud’s product is infused with the company’s hemp formulation CANATREX™. Best of all, since Uncle Bud’s products are hemp-derived, they can be found at major retailer chains like Walmart, Amazon, GNC and Big 5 locations. Uncle Buds worked with an FDA-registered manufacturer to develop its formula. The line of hemp-infused skin care products includes the following items:

Uncle Bud’s Belize Seaweed Detoxifying Mask

Uncle Bud’s Topical Pain Reliever

Uncle Bud’s Hand & Foot Cream

Uncle Bud’s Bodywash

Uncle Bud’s Sunburn Soother

Uncle Bud’s Massage & Body Oil

For Braxton, hemp-infused skin care products are important to her on a personal level. According to Braxton’s 2014 autobiographical Unbreak My Heart: A Memoir, she was diagnosed with lupus, a serious autoimmune disorder. “Lupus is a part of who I am, but I’m not going to let it define my life,” Braxton said. “I’ve had to make changes, of course, but I still want to perform and do what I love. Healthy alterations to my lifestyle, including using safe, natural pain-relief products like Uncle Bud’s, make this possible without debilitating side effects.” Lupus in women leads to skin rashes, achy joints, swelling and unexplained fevers.

Braxton’s 1996 hit entitled “You’re Making Me High” was a reference to her first time smoking a joint. Smoking cannabis, however, makes her paranoid and she isn’t a regular smoker. Hemp’s healing effects as a topical is another story.

Braxton has also been vocal about her son’s early diagnosis of autism-spectrum disorder, and his ability to overcome the odds and function at high levels. Her son Diezel now is a signed model. Braxton is currently dating rapper Birdman and has no qualms about getting into the hemp business.
