The guys behind the groundbreaking documentary are at it again

There’s no denying that The Union: The Business Behind Getting High is one of the most influential movies about cannabis ever. It was so persuasive that filmmakers Adam Scorgie and Brett Harvey were able to speak to Canada’s Parliament about legalization issues and found support in the ranks of the government. According to published sources, this has only bolstered their support for a sequel currently entitled The Culture High. The only thing holding them back is the financial situation, but Scorgie and Harvey have found a creative solution around that. They’ve started a page on the fundraising website Kickstarter, where—at press time—the filmmakers had a week left to raise their intended goal of $190,000. A week before the deadline, they had more than $196,000 pledged. Donating comes with various incentives, donating as little as $35 gets you a digital copy of the finished project while $10k can get the film a red carpet screening in your hometown. So it all comes down to how much you want to pay to see these guys defend your meds. Could be worth it in the long run.
