Ancient Recipes

Chinese Da Má Tea

Ingredients

9 grams of fresh cannabis (leaves, stems, buds)

2 cups of water

Directions

Chop about 9 grams of freshly harvested cannabis leaves, stems and flowers on a dinner plate with a sharp, sterilized scissors. Stuff the chopped cannabis into Chinese tea infuser. Add 2 cups of water into a slow cooker. Place infuser into the slow cooker. Brew on high heat. Check back in one hour. Press down on the cannabis with a bent dinner spoon. Brew for another hour, and check a couple of times to press the cannabis with a bent dinner spoon. Liquid should be a golden olive brew, and can be combined with any other green leaf tea or coinsumed on its own.

Indian Bhang

Ingredients

1 to 2 grams of ground cannabis (hash)

2 cups of milk

3 grams of butter

A pinch of spices like nutmeg or cinnamon

Honey (optional)

Vodka (optional)

Directions

First, heat the pan on the stove, and melt the butter in the pan. Next, add the ground cannabis to the butter in the pan, and stir it in well with the stirring spoon. Let the cannabis simmer in the melted butter for about a minute. Now, add the milk to the butter and cannabis in the pan, and stir them well together. Turn down the heat, and let the mixture warm gently.  Don’t let it boil. Finally, add a pinch of traditional spices like nutmeg or cinnamon to the mixture for a punchy taste, and pour it into a glass or serving cup. The bhang is now ready to be drunk and enjoyed. You can take it up a notch by adding some vodka to the drink, or you can also add some honey to the drink to give it a nice, sweet flavor.
