In the beginning, the Greek gods win a war against the Titans and seal them away in the depths of Mount Tartarus. During the fight, a powerful weapon known as the Ephirus bow fell from the heavens and no one has seen it since. Enter the villainous King Hyperion, a man with a grudge against the Gods for ignoring his prayers, who seeks the Ephirus Bow which can release the Titans and potentially destroy the gods. Hyperion’s army invades protagonist Theseus’ home and murders his mother, leading him to the Oracle, Phaedra, who can see visions of the future. Theseus is told to return home to bury his mother which coincidentally leads him directly to the Ephirus Bow which all too soon falls into the hands of Hyperion. An epic battle ensues at Mount Tartarus where Hyperion successfully unleashes the imprisoned Titans. While the mountain collapses, forever burying the Titans, Theseus manages to kill Hyperion and is granted the powers of a god. It’s pretty much your fantastic Greek tale-turned-movie that desperately wants to be Clash of the Titans.
