Spring Cleaning V: Social Media Cleanse

Published

on

CULTURE has provided numerous lists on how to clean your cannabis space and how to deodorize your home—but there’s one more thing left to do, and it’s more of a mental cleansing than a physical one. Everyone nowadays has a Facebook page (unless they have been able to delete it and live happier lives), and everyone has “friends” whom they wish they didn’t have contact with all. But maybe you were friends once, or acquaintances, who played some role in your life in the past. Either way, some people make a lasting impression, and others don’t.

But this isn’t just about friends, this is about aligning yourself with people who are like-minded, who are positive, who don’t fit into the major personalities of certain Facebook users—and most specifically, connecting yourself with people who understand and support cannabis’ role in society. Not only with this help you get through the task of removing friends, but it’s a cathartic new beginning.

Cannabis Friends and Pages

Once you’ve cleansed that friends list, be sure to populate your Facebook feed with active cannabis social media accounts. Think NORML, The National Cannabis Business Association, your favorite cannabis companies and events like The 420 Games. Getting into contact with people who appreciate what cannabis has to offer is the best way to connect with new friends who have similar opinions to your own.
