SoCal Growers Autumn Brands Share Strain Collab with Local Reggae Band Iration

Even before reform measures and legalization became more prominent in the West, cannabis has regularly been a staple in live music. Still, it’s hard to deny that today is truly a unique time, as more big music promoters and events have worked to more heavily incorporate cannabis into the festivities.

In that vein, those living in Southern California and the surrounding areas are in for a treat, as a new collaboration recently launched between a local reggae-influenced pop rock band and  Santa Barbara, California cannabis growers.

SoCal group Iration recently held their collaborative event with Autumn Brands, introducing a selection of carefully crafted, pesticide-free cannabis strains, according to a news release. For Iration, the partnership marks their first-ever venture in the cannabis world, and pairing with Autumn Brands seems to be a match made in heaven.

While both groups share a passion for music and cultivation, Iration and Autumn Brands truly mesh in their focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle and chemical-free products, all the while looking to give back and uplift the broader Santa Barbara community.

According to Iration, Autumn Brands represent the “perfect partner choice” for their commitment to sustainability, quality control, ensuring products are free of pesticides, alongside their broader ethos.

“The way they run their company aligns with our brand, and we love what they are doing,” Iration said. The band worked with the growers to premiere the new line at Catalyst in Long Beach for Cali Vibes Fest from Feb. 16-18.

Autumn Brands Co-founder Autumn Shelton expressed a similar sentiment toward Iration.

“We know the tight bond that Iration has with their fans. We’re proud that they’ve chosen Autumn Brands, a brand they trust for quality and safety, to create a great cannabis experience,” Shelton said. “We see this as the perfect partnership of their sunshine vibe and our sun-grown flower.”

The Iration x Autumn Brands Collab featured three strains.

The hybrid Lemon Time Bomb, “as explosive as it sounds,” offers frosty, light-green buds complete with a blend of sour, spicy and citrus-infused aromas. The sativa offering, Daytrippin, is meant to “take you on a sensory journey,” with a visually appealing mix of greens and oranges on top of a unique terpene profile, blending the sweet smell of peaches with more earthy and diesel elements. Finally, the indica Summer Nights immediately catches the eye with an intense purple tone underscoring the plentiful trichomes. Users will notice the combination of sweet cream, garlic and gassy flavors, easily transporting them to the feeling of a summer night no matter the time of year.

Both parties are already community staples in their respective regions.

Autumn Brands is a women- and family-owned company that regularly looks toward sustainable practices. Utilizing natural sunlight and irrigation through recirculated water, they grow their flower without the use of pesticides and 100% no spray. The growers also ensure that all strains are hand selected and hand trimmed.

“This level of effort and attention ensures the finished flower is of the highest quality,” they state. “Autumn Brands is committed to the cannabis consumer, the community and the environment.”

Iration was originally formed in Isla Vista, California, embracing a deep-rooted island influence with their Hawaiian upbringing while embracing elements of rock pop and soul. The result is a blend of original and uplifting music sure to get listeners grooving. The band has created music with one another for nearly two decades, racking up more than 1 billion streams, topping Billboard charts and making a name for themselves as a top-tier SoCal band.

The collaboration follows the band’s most recent release, their seventh studio album “Daytrippin,” which dropped Oct. 6, 2023.
