A Jan. 11 announcement from the Facebook newsroom indicated that changes are underway to prioritize personal posts in the Facebook News Feed. This can affect press coverage that normally appears in your News Feed, including CULTURE Magazine’s constant coverage of all things cannabis-related.
Don’t stay out of the loop on cannabis news, especially with the rapidly changing regulations that change from day to day.
Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg was clear about the upcoming changes. “The first changes you’ll see will be in News Feed, where you can expect to see more from your friends, family and groups, Mark Zuckerberg posted on Jan. 11. As we roll this out, you’ll see less public content like posts from businesses, brands, and media. And the public content you see more will be held to the same standard—it should encourage meaningful interactions between people.”
Here’s four easy steps to ensure that you will continue seeing CULTURE Magazine posts.
On a desktop:
1. Click on the dropbox on the far right of the Navigation Bar.2. Select “News Feed Preferences” from the drop down menu.3. Click the first box, “Prioritize who to see first.”4. Select “CULTURE Magazine” and “See First” will pop up in blue underneath the CULTURE icon.
On the Facebook mobile app:
- Click on menu icon in the Navigation Bar at the bottom.2. Go to “Settings & Privacy.”
3. Click “News Feed Preferences.”4. Click “Prioritize who to see first.”5. Select “CULTURE Magazine” and “See First” will pop up in blue underneath the CULTURE icon.
