How and when did your collective start up?

After years in the cannabis industry, we started a collective in 2010, and
due to changing county regulations, we moved to our current location and
started up Redwood Coast Collective in February of 2014 in the heart of the
Santa Cruz Mountains. During this time we decided to change our focus to
solvent-less hash.

What’s the story behind the name of your
collective?
We are located
in the beautiful Redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains off the Pacific
Coast! 

What does your collective offer patients
that they can’t find anywhere else? 

At Redwood
Coast Collective we focus specifically on solvent-less hash and organic
alternatives. We offer the widest selection of full melt solvent-less hash in
the Bay Area! We carry many different styles of full melt hashes, including:
Full-Plant fresh frozen, dry-sift and icewax!

How has the cannabis industry changed
since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?
We watched
the transition from cold water extraction go into the chemical extraction with
butane, and now we see that people want a safer alternative from BHO, and back
towards the natural water and ice extraction. I would like to see the industry
start embracing organic growing practices and push patients to a cleaner,
chemical free and most importantly more medicinal alternative.

What are the biggest challenges you face
in this industry as a collective? . . .  Biggest joys?
The biggest
challenges we face are the constantly changing county regulations. The biggest
joy is watching the sincere joy from our patients when they can come into a
location with safe access and quality medicine. We have a strong sense of
community in our store and we love sharing knowledge. 

What is the one thing you want patients to
know about your collective?

We are
extremely community driven and are always putting the patient first. Our staff
is sincere and loves spending the time with each individual member to make them
feel safe, at home and find the proper medication to suit their needs.  

If someone wanted to open a collective and
get their feet wet in the industry, what advice or counsel would you give them?

What is the most important thing you hope
to accomplish while in the MJ/MMJ community?

To spread the love and knowledge of safe and proper extraction, as well
as unity in the community.
