Public Invited to Comment for Emergency Regulations

Part of being a community member in the cannabis industry means that you have to constantly educate and inform people (aka skeptics, politicians, city leaders, etc.) about why cannabis is a benefit to any city to state, as well as help those working for the city and state identify obstacles or improvements that can be made.

While not all government organizations are responsive in hearing comments from the public, it seems that the Bureau of Cannabis Control and Office of Administrative Law are genuinely interested in hearing what the general public has to say. Luckily, advocates, consumers and business owners in California have an amazing opportunity coming up to inform these two organizations about their thoughts on the current statewide proposed emergency regulations.

The Bureau recently announced that it has submitted its emergency regulations to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). This includes all regulations regarding both “commercial medicinal and adult-use cannabis.” Alongside the announcement of this progress, the Bureau is informing those who are interested to comment to send their submissions to the OAL by Monday, December 4. According to the Bureau email announcement, all comments regarding the adoption of the regulations must be submitted with five days of the OAL posting the proposal online.
