OG 1 Kenobi

At the risk of upsetting those George Lucas fans out there, we’re going to forego the obvious Star Wars references and just call OG 1 Kenobi for what it is: one of the most exciting new strains to come along in years. While the origins of this 21 percent indica hybrid from GHC in Fontana is a mystery, we strongly suspect there’s some Master Kush swimming around the gene pool given its overpowering perfume and stress-free, knock-you-out-from-behind stone. Not that it matters, because OG 1 Kenobi is a Jedi master of marijuana in its own right (OK, we’ll do at least one Star Wars reference). This is a dark strain, both in its appearance (deep green with even deeper rust highlights) and its bold, slightly harsh flavor. The smoke is so sharp and heady that it numbs the tongue somewhat when exhaled. The high can best be described as catastrophic, discombobulating the senses to the point that you’ll have trouble walking straight. Given its super-chronic nature, OG 1 Kenobi is medicine you’ll want to take for truly chronic and painful conditions, like nerve damage, multiple sclerosis and severe nausea associated with chemo. The strain burns hot and harsh, so we suggest not smoking it if you have a respiratory ailment.
