Mexico Approves the Import of CBD Derivatives
Mexico has granted permission to a 44-year-old woman with stage 5 breast cancer to receive cannabis treatments.
HempMeds Mexico just announced that the Mexican government granted them permission to import CBD derivatives into the country. They will provide the Real Scientific Hemp Oil-XTM (RSHO-XTM) to assist the patient with symptoms associated with cancer treatments.
“This is a great opportunity to show the benefits that cannabinoids have as a solution to health conditions that haven’t met any result by traditional medical procedures,” said Carlos Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer of HempMeds Mexico, in a statement. “We hope that by using RSHO-X, this patient will carry a better quality of life after each chemotherapy treatment.”
Chemotherapy carries with it several negative side effects, such as neuropathic pain. Numerous studies have found that CDB-rich products can be extremely beneficial with pain management. It also assists the patient with nausea and loss of appetite, among other things.
HemoMeds is the only company currently authorized to import cannabis into Mexico. Patients looking to receive CBD must get approval from their doctor, and obtain an import license from the Federal Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risk (COFEPRIS).

A recent study on RSHO-XTM THC-free CBD oil found that 60 percent of epileptic children treated with CBD saw a reduction in seizures.
