Martha Stewart, famed business owner, television personality and owner of numerous dogs, cats, horses, chickens, peacocks, canaries and geese, announced her newest CBD product line for pets.
In conjunction with Canopy Growth, Stewart’s new product line aims to improve quality of life. “We very successfully launched our beautiful line of gummies based on my idea of what a gummy should taste like—which is a pâte de fruit—the lovely French confection which is often served at the end of a delicious gourmet meal. And it occurred to me that dogs, too, like good taste,” she said in an article on her website.
Currently, the products are limited to three types. This includes a chicken and cranberry flavored soft baked chew (called “Calm”), a chicken and blueberry flavored soft baked chew (called “Mobility) and chicken flavored oil drops. The aforementioned chewables come in multiple sizes in order to better treat dogs of two different size and weight categories—for smaller dogs weighing anywhere from five-35 pounds, and for larger dogs between 36-110 pounds. The price range remains affordable at anywhere between $19.99 to $24.99. The wellness drops are offered in a 600mg bottle and is priced at $39.99.
Stewart worked with Dr. Bob Menardi, Director of Veterinary Technical and Educational Services at Canopy Animal Health to create these new CBD items. Although Stewart has a love for many animals, this particular product line was created with dogs in mind. “Dogs, too, like to be soothed and calmed and made to feel better. Some dogs are anxious,” she said. “Some dogs ache from arthritic conditions or aching joints or previous wounds. Some dogs’ anxiety extends to getting along with other dogs. And all dogs just want to feel good.”In addition to keeping her dogs health and well-being in mind, Stewart also unveiled a limited edition CBD gift box for Valentine’s Day as well.
