[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]A[/dropcap]t the Elevate technology conference in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sept. 24, popular cooking icon Martha Stewart, 78, discussed her cannabis edible habits and her work in the CBD industry—and she didn’t rule out a cannabis-themed cookbook in the future. Perking interest among culinary cannabis artists, Stewart’s high quality cookbooks would be a welcomed addition to their collections.

At the conference, Stewart was joined by Mark Zekulin, plus Michelle Obama, Akon, and several other highly regarded visionaries in the tech industry. Stewart re-clarified that her interests mostly revolve around non-psychoactive cannabis products in the CBD market, devoid of THC’s psychoactive properties. “I’m not working in the cannabis area, I am working in the CBD area,” she said.

Snoop Dogg, one of Stewart’s most unlikely best friends, starred with her on Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, an Emmy-nominated cooking show with constant cannabis-related jokes.

Most recently, Stewart took upon an advisory role with Canopy Growth Corp. “We’re developing different things for the home, for food and for pets at present. I’m also interested in skin care and other things like that,” she said on-stage.

Stewart also recollected an experience in Maine when she tried some cannabis-infused gummy bears, saying that “it seemed to have a very good effect.”

When asked a pointed question about the possibility of releasing a new cannabis-themed cookbook, Stewart didn’t say yes, but added that it could happen in the future. “I’m not ready to do it yet, but that might be a possibility,” she admitted. Stewart has been regarded as the key to reaching certain demographics of people who normally reject anything cannabis-related. Her massive influence on stay-at-home moms and Baby Boomers adds to her appeal.

Stewart also spoke at the World Cannabis Congress in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. She indicated that her lineup of products could ready for retail by mid-2020, pending approvals from regulators.
