What does your store offer customers that
they can’t find anywhere else?

All
of our employees are highly educated, we offer the best customer service and we
have a place for our vendors to educate the public as much as possible. Many of
the people that come in aren’t necessarily shopping, but have questions and
want to learn more about the industry.

How has the cannabis industry in
Washington changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to
see it go?

I’d
like to see the tax issue get resolved. We want to change it to a sales tax and
not an excise tax so we can actually write off our cost of goods, our rent, our
employees and hopefully the growers won’t get taxed at all so it can lower our
cost and we can pass those savings to the consumer, so they don’t have to go on
the streets to buy weed that isn’t tested.

In
the past four years, coming from the medical side of the industry and into
retail, everybody has been a lot more professional in the last few years. We’ve
seen big companies that are accountable for their actions, they come through
when they say they will. It used to be a lot more shady acts going on and no
one was accountable for what they said and no one followed through.

What are the biggest challenges you face
in this industry as an access point? . . . Biggest joys?

I
think that stronger edibles would really help. A lot of the consumers that have
tried them have complained that they didn’t feel anything and they would like
to see more results from those. I know that the companies are tied up right now
with LCB regulations, but I hope that changes for the consumers.

The
biggest joys are the happy faces; all the smiles, and the people coming in
cheering every day. Everyone from 21-year-olds to grandmas and grandpas that
have wanted to see this happen their whole lives and finally lived to see it
happen. That’s probably one of the biggest joys.

What is the one thing you want customers
to know about your access point?

We
treat everyone very fair. Nobody gets special privileges. We are constantly
working to get our prices lower. We do our prices with tax included in the
price, so the price you see is the price out the door. Customers really like
that you can go on our website to see our menu and out the door prices.

What is the most important thing you
hope to accomplish while in the MJ/MMJ community?

I
just want to provide the highest level of clean cannabis, concentrates and
edibles at a fair price. We also want to be known for customer service so
customers feel comfortable asking questions. Most importantly we want to make
each customer happy.
