How and when did your collective start-up?
We’ve been around for six years in one way or another. We recognized the need for patients to get quality medicine and expert advice.
What’s the story behind the name of your collective?
The word “kind” has always been an adjective to describe quality flower, but it also serves as a business philosophy.
What does your collective offer to patients that they can’t find anywhere else?
Kind has a terrifically informed staff that has a level of knowledge and compassion rarely seen in our industry. In addition, our product selection and quality is truly unique and stands among the best provisioning centers in the nation.
How has the cannabis industry changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?
The industry is getting more commodified and turning into a large industry. We are happy to see some raising standards for quality, lab testing and pricing. However, we really hope the cannabis industry grows in a sustainable and equitable manner.
What are the some of the challenges you have faced in this industry as a collective?
The federal laws on cannabis have made serving patients and conducting normal operations very difficult, in addition to an ever-changing state system has created a set of moving targets for patients, farmers and provisioning centers to navigate. These are all tough challenges.
What is the one thing you want patients and the public to know about your collective?

What is the most important thing you hope to accomplish while in the cannabis community?
We are hopeful the cannabis industry is a huge economic boon for Lansing. We would be lucky to be a part of this revitalization of our city. We hope to continue helping patients while being able to bring them exciting new products and keeping them informed on an ever-changing and expanding selection of cannabis products.
