Kananga

Exotic and gorgeous, Kananga is a rare, purple African landrace sativa carried by Medi Marts in San Jose. This girl is gargantuan and dark, and even smells a bit like grape. Close up, she’s even more gorgeous: dense, thick, with purple leaves and long, rusty pistils. Under a scope, we can’t believe our eyes; the trichomes are packed so tight. Kananga smells like a thinner, brighter Grand Daddy Purple when ground up and her smoke evokes the floral hay notes of Durban Poison. You can see how breeders might fold this strain into something like a Jack Herer. This pure sativa has adapted to the tropics of Africa and yields a classic euphoric effect. Patients with ADD and ADHD report using pure sativas during the daytime to provide energy and focus. It has a unique anti-anxiety effect that’s also similar to Durban.
