What’s
the story behind the name of your access point?
Well, we wanted something that
was going to present cannabis in a professional manner, one that might help in
normalizing or removing the negative stigma associated with cannabis use. If
you think about what this industry has to offer besides just medicine and recreation,
we have huge potential for job creation, thus our name “Green Collar Club,”
representing those in our community who are workers, who are professionals and
who add value to their community. We have blue collar jobs and white collar
jobs . . . well now we have green collar jobs too!

What
does your access point offer patients that they can’t find anywhere else?

They can definitely
find good quality medicine at a low donation here at Green Collar Club. We
pride ourselves on the top shelf variety that we keep stocked for our patients;
it’s what keeps them coming back for more. You add the professional and personal
service on top of that, and you’ve got a recipe for a great experience that the
patient will remember and appreciate. The fact that we also carry branded
products that are well known by the patient base is another reason we feel
Green Collar is a great experience for patients.

How
has the cannabis industry changed since you started?

It’s changed in the
sense that it’s a little less scary now. In the beginning, it was very nerve
wracking for us dealing with all the ambiguity, raids and service-related
challenges in this industry. As we’ve progressed, there are still a lot of
challenges, but we have learned how to better navigate since then. A big part
of this is not stressing over things we cannot change, and learning how to
respond and adapt to changes, rather than fear, and react to them in ways that
can negatively affect our business and future.

What
is the most important thing you hope to accomplish while in the cannabis
industry?

We hope to bring an
acceptable name to cannabis, one that would help in the removal of the negative
social stigma attached to cannabis use . . . whether it be medical or
recreational. We want to be a part of changing the way most people think of
cannabis consumption in terms of just “smoking a joint”—we want to change that,
so that when the average man or woman thinks of cannabis use they think of
infused edibles, topical salves/creams, concentrates, flower, vaping—the list
goes on and on. We want to see more studies and experiments done on cannabis to
reveal its true nature and benefits to society. We want to see educational and
informational programs that provide real data and science to all who want to
learn more. We want to see victory for the cannabis plant, and we want to be as
much a part of this as we can.
