Marijuana MansionMike “Big Mike” Straumietis promised his followers a Super Bowl party that no one would ever forget on his lavish hillside estate in the Hollywood Hills. The engagement was touted as the “most gangster Super Bowl Party in Hollywood.” The party was promptly canceled due to worries aroused by his neighbors on Skyline Drive.

Master promoter Big Mike forked over $1 million of his own funds in preparation for the party, including a contest that awarded four random attendees with airfare, hotel stay and $1000 in cash. Straumietis planned on screening guests for a valid medical cannabis recommendation in order to attend, in adherence with state law. Word spread like wildfire on social media, especially on Straumietis’ Instagram account. Neighbors began calling in complaints to Los Angeles city officials about the possibility of litter from party goers.

“Due to the actions of the LAPD and City Council, Big Mike’s Super Bowl Party has been cancelled. Expect legal action on our part and the formation of a new non profit to support political candidates who best reflect our community,” a spokesman posted on Instagram with a video announcement. Big Mike is on his way towards accumulating a million followers on Instagram. Straumietis claims that his parties are targeted exclusively because of his role in cannabis business. “This has nothing to do with trash or traffic,” he said. According to the office of Fourth District Councilman David Ryu, the city of Los Angeles denied a permit to set up an outdoor stage. Councilman Ryu has signaled in the past that he won’t put up with party houses.

Straumietis founded Advanced Nutrients, the worldwide leader of cannabis fertilizers and growing materials. His fortunes have enabled him to live a life of partying that most only dream about. The last major party at the Marijuana Mansion attracted over 500 guests, which featured luxuries such as valet parking, shuttle buses and extravagant acrobatic entertainment. Straumietis and his lawyers are currently in the process of drafting lawsuits against the city because of the financial losses.
