Available where finer extracts are sold, Top Tier Extraction’s Cherry Pie really excels at channeling the aroma of the beloved strain, in an extract form that’s three times as strong as the plants. The source strain Cherry Pie is something of a mythic strain in Northern California. A lot of indica-dominant, cherry-tasting plants get the name, though it’s thought to be a mix of Grand Daddy Purple and Durban. A Cherry Pie placed fourth in the High Times Denver Cup in 2014, and is now at reLeaf in Vallejo. Top Tier used a solvent to dissolve and concentrate the resins and oils of fresh, dried, cured Cherry Pie flower buds—which are more flavorful and potent than the plant’s leaves and trim.
