How and when did your collective
start up?

Beau:  Years ago.
We were one of the first in the Portland area.  Me and a bunch of close friends—and we were
like brothers . . .

What’s the story behind the name
of your collective?

Beau:  Not just that my friends and I were like
brothers, but also meaning, we’re YOU’RE brothers too.  We’ll take care of the patient and treat them
like family.

What does your dispensary offer
patients that they can’t find anywhere else?

Beau: Consistency.  We’ll have patients who haven’t been in for two
years, and when they do come back, they find the same quality, if not the same
strains. We select only the most consistent and highest quality bud.

Nyno: At the moment, we’re
one of the only dispensaries in Portland that carry Charlotte’s Web tincture by
The Stanley Brothers from Colorado. Charlotte’s Web tincture has a high CBD and
low in THC (less than three percent) so it will give you little to no
psychoactive effects. Charlotte’s Web has been successful with some patients
that have epilepsy, and a good option for treating seizures as well as a range
of other medical conditions.

How has the cannabis industry
changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?

Beau: We were so nervous at
the start. There was no real guidance or consistency regarding how we were
supposed to operate.  We were paranoid
that we’d get shut down at any time.  The
public was a bit slow to accept at first, but that changed as everyone got a
little more educated.

Nyno: Education is a huge
factor.  With the internet and open
communication, people know a lot more than we used to.

If someone wanted to open a
dispensary and get their feet wet in the industry, what advice or counsel would
you give them?

Beau: Don’t open in
Portland! (Laughs.)  It’s already so
saturated here.

What is the most important thing
you hope to accomplish while in the MJ/MMJ community?

Beau: Educating the public
and eventually, being able to offer safe access to everyone!
