Let’s be honest here: Bob Saget is funniest when he embraces his dark side. And by “dark side,” I mean when the artist formerly known as Danny Tanner is dropping F-bombs like the Allies bombed Dresden: sheer and utter overkill. From his raunchy appearances in Entourage and The Aristocrats to his profanity-laced stand-up, this actor/host/comedian—who just so happens to have been CULTURE’s cover boy in February—has always found a way to make us laugh for the dirtiest reasons possible. All jokes aside, let us not forget that Saget’s freedom-of-speech-bending ways were first trailblazed by dudes like Lenny Bruce and, later, Richard Pryor. And just so you don’t think this guy’s all about keeping things R-rated, Saget has spent quite a bit of time raising money for scleroderma (an autoimmune disease that can affect the skin and internal organs) research. Beneath the filth, there’s a charity-minded heart. And word around the campfire is that Saget is preparing to shoot his next stand-up special sometime this year . . . and he’s coming to Greenwood Village, folks. Get your earmuffs ready.
