The Doesha Cup is no ordinary expo. For starters, attendees must be Prop 215 patients or caregivers because the Doesha offers tastings of cannabis strains. Ticket holders who wish to participate in the judging plunk down a fee and then get to select, along with their peers, the finest strain of cannabis submitted by the expo growers. While the prize money ($2,500) is nothing to sniff at, even more important is the actual trophy cup and the bragging rights that come with being named Doesha’s ultimate strain. If judging isn’t your style, or once you’ve executed your judicial duties, check out the rest of the event which includes a funky “Garden of Weeden,” a myriad vendors, informative speakers and live entertainment from Rodney O & Joe Cooley and Shannon “Sangin’ Diva” Pearson. And it gets better, rapper Kurupt (who was once part of Death Row Records’ OG roster) is scheduled for a live performance so you know mics are gonna get checked!
