As far as I’m concerned, chocolate is one of the best ingredients you can use when creating tasty edibles. Anyone who’s had a medicated candy bar knows that chocolate’s rich, roasted sweetness melds beautifully with the herbal notes provided by concentrates or flowers. And if you add peanut butter into the mix, forget it: sweet, sweet bliss. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup fans, rejoice! Tiny Hitters by Space Bakers (available at 408 Collective in San Jose) is just the thing to satisfy that chocolate/PB craving while still delivering a very high level of potency to tame severe pain. Small and powerful, we sampled the highest potency (10) cup and discovered that this is some very, very serious business. Taking about an hour and a half to settle in, the effects were the strongest over the span of about two hours, dissolving all body discomfort, aches and ills—without being wholly immobilized. The “green” taste is very minimal, the candy ingredients are creamy and silky and the 1-dose-per-cup serving size makes this a very convenient, desirable form of medicine.
