Now, however, we can add cannabis media platforms to the list. Snoop and his business partner, entrepreneur Ted Chung, have officially unveiled their most recent endeavor, Merry Jane.

According to Chung, as quoted in the platform’s press release, “Merry Jane aims to be the premier media destination for all things cannabis, much in the way ESPN is a go-to network for all things sports. Merry Jane offers an accessible perspective while maintaining an aspirational platform. As the cannabis industry continues to grow, Merry Jane will be at the forefront of all cannabis related news, content, entertainment and pop culture.”

The organization also has the backing of venture capital fund Casa Verde Capitol LLC.

“I’ve been a long-time, proud supporter of the marijuana movement,” stated Snoop as quoted in the press release. “After watching where the cannabis industry is headed, I wanted to create a platform that will take this movement further by creating a destination where people could find fresh content. Merry Jane is a game-changing platform for pop culture. It’s a new frontier, y’all!”

The official site will launch this October, and in the meantime, Merry Jane is offering access to only 420 users per day on its beta site, in order to give interested readers and viewers a chance to see what the site is all about. Stay tuned for a full launch of Merry Jane this month, and expect great things from the Snoop-endorsed company.
