Denver might not be the first place you think of when
somebody mentions punk rock, but The Mile-High City’s own Potato Pirates are
trying to change that with its new record, Raised
Better Than This. Drawing much of its influence from East Coast punk greats
like Agnostic Front and Mike McColgan-era Dropick Murphys, with just a splash
of NOFX and Rancid influence, Raised
Better Than This sees the band proudly bearing the torch of its
predecessors while still lending the style its own unique voice. (Simon Weedn)
