Home Depot Partners with American Cannabis Company

[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]H[/dropcap]ome Depot has taken its first step into the cannabis industry following its partnership with American Cannabis Company Inc. (ACC), a Denver-based business. American Cannabis Company Inc. is both a consulting solutions provider and a vendor of ancillary products for the cannabis industry. While consumers won’t find actual cannabis plants sitting on the shelves of Home Depot, the company will be selling products designed to enhance and assist in cannabis cultivation.

By joining forces with ACC, Home Depot will allow cannabis growers easier access to the cultivation materials needed for successful cannabis crops. Specifically, it will be SoHum Living Soils by Earth Alive Clean Technologies that will soon be available to purchase on Home Depot’s website. The potting mix, comprised of natural and organic ingredients, can only be purchased exclusively online. Retail giants, Walmart and Amazon, will also have ACC products for sale on their digital platforms as well. “We are committed to getting our products out in the market and into the hands of the cultivators who can truly benefit from these solutions that we provide” Terry Buffalo, CEO of American Cannabis Company, stated in regards to the new partnership.

Although SoHum Living Soils was intended for cannabis, the potting mix may also be used for other plant growth. “This fully amended, pH-buffered potting mix will continue to disrupt the agricultural markets as a ‘Just Add Water’ super soil that acts to eliminate the human error element from cannabis and non-cannabis crop cultivation,” Buffalo said.

Currently, eight states and Washington D.C. have laws in place that allow for the recreational consumption of cannabis. As the American public sees this number rise, they can also expect to see more examples of the cannabis industry hitting the mainstream market.
