How and when did your dispensary start up?

In March 2015, Corinna Buck and Alex Buck of Cannabis Business Solutions, LLC opened the store as Organica.

What’s the story behind the name of your dispensary?

We opened our doors in March of 2015 as a medical dispensary. By February of 2016, we changed our name to Affinity (due to Federal Regulations of using the term “organic”) and opened our doors for recreational sales. Now [we are] both medical and recreational, serving consumers 18 and over.

What does your dispensary offer customers that they can’t find anywhere else?

We have the largest variety of products—from concentrates to edibles to our large selection of flower. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, let us know, and we can get it on the shelf!

How has the cannabis industry changed since you have been in the business? Where would you like to see it go?

We got into the industry when it was still only medical. So [we have been] able to see the changes first hand once recreational started to take off and boom through the industry. It has been a crazy sight to see. We would like to see the marijuana industry expand over all 50 states! We would love to help open dispensaries all over for owners and investors.

What are the biggest challenges you face in this industry as a dispensary? . . .  Biggest joys?

The biggest challenge in the industry is not being able to use a bank to do the things we need to do to keep our business safe and efficient. Biggest joys are being able to help every individual patient or customer that walks through our doors. We love to see them smile as they leave our building!

What is the one thing you want consumers to know about your dispensary?

We are here for YOU! From the beginner users to the connoisseur shoppers, we have your back every step of the way.

If someone wanted to open a dispensary and get their feet wet in the industry, what advice or counsel would you give them?

Opening a dispensary takes time, effort . . . and a lot of money. If they’re looking to get into the industry to work, get your badge and apply for our shop. We’re always hiring.

What is the most important thing you hope to accomplish while in the cannabis community?

[We hope] to provide a safe and alternative option of medicine at an affordable price to our community!
