[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]T[/dropcap]o everyone’s delight, Willie’s Remedy—the health-focused hemp arm of Willie Nelson’s cannabis company WILLIE’S RESERVE™—announced on Jan. 29 that it will release a line of full spectrum hemp extract tinctures.

Willie’s Remedy tincture is created from organic medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil derived from coconuts, which is then infused with full spectrum hemp extract. The hemp is organically grown in America, “with direct relationships with American farmers.” The new tincture line will include five different infusion strengths in 1 oz. bottles:

  • 250mg (8mg per dropper) $35
  • 500mg (17mg per dropper) $55
  • 1000mg (33mg per dropper) $85
  • 2500mg (83mg per dropper) $135
  • 5000mg (167mg per dropper) $265

Full spectrum hemp means that the naturally-occurring terpenes and cannabinoids are preserved throughout the extraction process. Willie’s Remedy, specifically, contains five distinct cannabinoids: CBD, CBDV, CBG, CBC and THC. It also contains 14 terpenes: Alpha-pinene, beta-Pinene, beta-Myrcene, Ocimene Peak 1, Limonene, Ocimene Peak 2, Linalool, alpha-Terpinol, trans-Caryophyllene, alpha-Humulene, trans-Nerolidol, Guaiol, Caryophyllene Oxide and alpha-Bisabolol.

Company representatives provided a few hints designed to make accurate titration easier. “For people who want to try a small amount daily, the 250mg is a great value and requires very little precision—take a dropper and you can count on 8mg each time,” the company stated. “For folks looking to load up on cannabinoids, the 2,500mg or 5,000mg infusion offers an efficient alternative to multiple droppers under the tongue. The more people learn about their [endocannabinoid system] and take note of the impact hemp has on how they feel, the more call for specific formulations Willie’s Remedy expects to see.”

Nelson’s celebrity cannabis line ranks among the companies with the utmost integrity, as the outlaw country legend has been a consumer for most of his adult life. He’s also an avid hemp advocate, as evident in his personal library. “I remember reading a book called The Emperor Wears No Clothes by Jack Herer, and in there he said a lot of great things,” Nelson told CULTURE in 2011. “And one of them was that stress is the biggest killer on the planet, and the best medicine for stress is marijuana. And I know that to be a fact.” Lukas Nelson, his son, also shared some of the same sentiments in an interview with CULTURE last June.
