MMA fighters Nick and Nate Diaz have made it clear that they love medical cannabis. They both now have dipped their toes in the cannabis industry with California’s Finest pre-roll lines. Nick’s indica line of cannabis cigarettes reads “Nick Diaz Recovery” while Nate’s sativa line reads “Nate Diaz Energy.” The brothers’ new pre-roll line of cannabis cigarettes are being marketed as a workout recovery product.

Willie Nelson was even impressed with the brother’s appearance on the pre-roll boxes. Nelson posted a picture holding up both Nick and Nate’s boxes of pre-rolls on Instagram. Part of the caption of Nelson’s photo read, “@natediaz209 Energy or @nickdiaz209 Recovery? That is the question! Both is the answer!”

California’s Finest has been focused on the future of the medical and recreational industries that are currently unfolding, as evident in the commercialized design of the boxes. Both Diaz brothers have been caught with medical cannabis and both brothers are turning their recent cannabis-related controversies into a marketable enterprise. The brothers’ collection displays “209” on the box, representing Stockton, California, where they grew up. Each box contains five pre-rolls weighing in at 3.5 grams.

Nick Diaz tested positive for cannabis after his 2015 fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183. Nick Diaz’s use of medical cannabis was supported by fighters Ronda Rousey, Michael Chiesa and Rose Namajunas, and Diaz eventually completed an 18-month suspension for his role in using cannabis. Silva eventually lost the win after he also tested positive for the banned substances drostanolone metabolites and androstane. Meanwhile, the UFC has loosened restrictions on steroid abuse. The Nevada State Athletic Commission and the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) ended up dramatically reducing the punishment. Nate Diaz stood up for his younger brother Nick and boldly lit up a CBD oil vape pen at a press conference after his last fight at UFC 202 against Conor McGregor.

Jimi Hendrix, Anthrax and Motorhead have all appeared on California’s Finest “Hall of Flame” collection of cannabis cigarettes and Baby Bash, the Digital Underground and more have appeared on the “Artist” series of cannabis cigarettes.
