[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”]S[/dropcap]kateboarding legend Tony Hawk partnered with licensed Canadian cultivator 1933 Industries Inc, House of Hawk, LLC and its subsidiary, Infused MFG, LLC to release a line of cannabidiol (CBD) wellness products, according to an April 8 press release.

The brand will include CBD-infused recovery creams, lotions, as well as hemp-only creams and lotions. The product lines will be named CBCanna Hemp™, Canna Hemp X™ and Birdhouse Skateboards™. The licensing agreement was formally completed on April 3, with plans for a two-year term.

“We’re excited to be a part of this new movement that is becoming more recognized as a healthy alternative to recovering from the aches and pains that we regularly incur in the action sports world,” Hawk stated. “And we couldn’t be happier to join forces with Canna Hemp™, an established and trusted partner with an expertise in this market.”

As a child, Hawk was labeled “hyperactive,” but ultimately found release for his untamed energy in extreme skateboarding. Hawk went professional clear back in 1982 and was the National Skateboard Association world champion for 12 years in a row. By 1992, Hawk was already a superstar in the skateboarding world and created Birdhouse Skateboards™, the makers of high quality skateboard trucks, wheels, clothing and accessories. He’s also gained sponsorships from other skateboarding companies like Independent, Bones and Nixon.

USA COO and Founder of Infused Chris Rebentisch stated, “It’s truly an honor to be working with Tony Hawk’s Birdhouse Skateboards™ brand and their incredible organization. Birdhouse team members Clive Dixon, Ben Raybourn, David Loyand Clint Walker will help support the new partnership via social media. The opportunity of offering our sports recovery products under a partnership with Hawk’s brand Birdhouse adds credence to our brand. Tony is an internationally recognized action sports figure and responsible for fuelling the growth of skateboarding as a professional sport.”
