he University of Michigan’s newest exhibit, “Suspended Moments: Photographs from the David S. Rosen Collection,” offers a simple collection of complex photos. Each image details the interior of a world featuring photographs of children who are beginning their journeys from childhood to adulthood. Dr. David S. Rosen was a physician and veteran of the University’s medical school who often treated children as a part of his field. Other photographers are featured are also well-known for their images detailing childhood, such as Saly Mann, Dawoud Bey and Helen Levitt. As a whole, the exhibition features over 26 of the University’s 150 photography pieces added to its permanent collection back in 2013.
