Strawberry Shortcake

Makes four servings.

3 sheets of phyllo dough

1/4 cup Canna Butter*

1/4 cup sugar

2 baskets of strawberries, sliced

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups whipped cream

3 sheets of phyllo dough

1/4 cup Canna Butter*

1/4 cup sugar

2 baskets of strawberries, sliced

1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups whipped cream

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place the first layer of phyllo dough on a cookie sheet and spread some Canna Butter on it with a pastry brush. Sprinkle with a 1/3 of the total amount of sugar. Repeat the process with the other remaining sheets of phyllo dough. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool. Place the strawberries in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Set aside. To assemble the shortcake, cut the phyllo do into pieces. Place one piece on a plate, spoon the strawberry/sugar mixture on top and add a whipped cream. Repeat this process one more time. Serve immediately.
