Seth Rogen’s Cannabis Company Expanding to Canada

Houseplant, a cannabis company co-founded by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg earlier this year, announced on June 10 that it will be expanding its product availability to Ontario, Canada.

The duo’s company is partnered with Canopy Growth, which will assist Houseplant in delivering a strai[dropcap class=”kp-dropcap”][/dropcap]n entitled Houseplant Sativa to the province sometime this summer. “It’s thrilling to be able to grow our company and give those in Ontario access to products that we are so proud of” said Seth Rogen, co-founder of Houseplant. “We can’t wait to continue sharing something that’s so special to us with more and more people as we expand across Canada.” Two additional products, Houseplant Indica and Houseplant Hybrid, are set to release at a later date.

According to a press release, Houseplant expects to eventually sell its product throughout the rest of Canada in the future. For now, the company’s high-quality cannabis products are sold only in British Columbia. “We’ve been blown away by the positive response from our native British Columbians,” said Houseplant’s Co-Founder Evan Goldberg. “Early on we made the decision to proceed with measured growth to make sure we don’t compromise the quality of our product or disappoint our customers. Ontario is an exciting next step for us.”

When Houseplant Sativa does become available, it will be purchasable online and available through licensed dispensaries. Currently, the company offers other cannabis flower products, as well as softgel capsules and pre-rolled joints. It also offers educational videos about cannabis strains and how to consume, for those who might be new to cannabis.

On March 27, Houseplant made its debut to the world. Both Rogen and Goldberg expressed their excitement for bringing quality cannabis products to fellow citizens of Canada. “We are so proud to be launching in Canada, our home,” stated Goldberg. “After spending five years diligently preparing for the launch of this company, we’re excited to be able to share our passion for cannabis with Canadians in this way.”
